Professional Background

Peter has been involved as an Associated Consultant with TTI since 1993. He brings to the consultancy many decades of advanced technology and commercial business experience gained in an especially wide range of industries. These include aerospace, power generation, naval submarines, offshore, and special nuclear. A UK citizen, he has also worked overseas in Canada, USA and Norway, and traveled even further abroad while in business development roles. He brings to TTI thoughts and ideas from a broad perspective that complement the close focus of the specialist members of the team.

Contributions include

Design engineering and technology coordination, at Norwegian Contractors offices (Oslo), on behalf of TTI during its design contract for the Riser Protection Nets for the world’s first concrete Tension Leg Platform ('Heidrun').

Co-author (with Steve Banfield), a critical review and proposals to advance the quality assurance procedures for manually completed spliced terminations on modern synthetic fibre rope for moorings for deepwater offshore platforms. Report for a major oil industry client.

- Identifying potential opportunities for the application of TTI's expertise and supporting approaches to prospective clients.

- Offering innovative solutions to further advance the successful use of modern synthetic fibre ropes.

- Prior to the wider adoption of the internet and the completion of TTI's own website, he produced a series of newsletters on behalf of TTI providing readers with coverage of the company's achievements
